Somewhat random, but I was wondering if the USB port on the appletv is powered on by default. Is it possible to plug an ipod cable in there an at least charge an ipod off of it?

Hi, Can AppleTV be used to watch US content of itunes in Europe with an US account. I have iphone with US account and can download postcasts or apps etc? Before investing US $ 229/- in ATV, I would like to check this out if any body tried. Our TV formats is PAL and on top of it IP address of internet may be an issue. Many thanks

I've been looking around for the right way to develop a video playlist so that I can essentially turn on my apple TV and watch all of my unwatched TV shows like its a tv channel – one show should play after the other – and ideally I shouldn't have to watch more than one episode from each series I subscribe to…. just would be nice to not have to hunt through the menu all the time – not a big deal bout would be pretty cool to find out how to do using playlists… best I can find is this which isn't exactly what I want: http://cnettv.cnet.com/make-video-playlists-itu...

Hi, i've been looking for somewhere to ask this question, maybe this is the right place maybe not. hopefully someone will take pity and answer. Can AppleTV be used to watch any content from the internet. If i want to watch a movie from Hulu, for instance, will ATV allow us to view it on our TV? We use Roku for NetFlix but want to go further. Thanks

Leslie, where did you download the movies & TV shows? That is, did you buy the videos from the Apple TV interface or from iTunes on your computer?

Also are you syncing or streaming from your Mac to Apple TV?

I suspect either A) Your newly purchased content just hasn’t had a chance to been seen by Apple TV or B) It may not be “synced” to AppleTV or C) it may be unchecked in iTunes, causing AppleTV o ignore it.

We have enjoyed apple TV and downloaded a number of movies and shows; paid for them and then they don’t come up on the menu. I am told we can “just” download them again but won’t have to pay again. How can I avoid this. In Europe the downloading can take a considerable amount of time. Thank you
