This week’s 99 cent movie rentals on the Canadian iTunes store are:

• Birth (HD)
• Honeymoon in Vegas (HD)
• Reservoir Dogs

HD movies when available are on the Apple TV only (for Canada still) and are $1.99. If you haven’t seen Reservoir Dogs you really should, it’s a classic.

This week’s 99 cent movie rentals on the Canadian iTunes store are:

• Detroit Rock City (HD)
• All Dogs Go To Heaven (HD)
• Terminator 2: Judgement Day (HD)

All are available in HD on the Apple TV for $1.99 – a requirement for watching T2, IMO!

The Canadian iTunes store has reduced the prices of 23 recent movies. Many are $9.99 some are $14.99 – typical new movie purchase price is $19.99 in Canada. There are also some great prices on SciFi movies – $4.99 to buy, $3.99 to rent:

• Serenity (a favourite)
• Land of the Dead
• 12 Monkeys (another favourite)
• Battlerstar Galactica: Razor (awesome)
• The Bone Collector

I’ll likely get 12 Monkeys, it’s the only one I don’t have on disc.

• Wagons East!

This week’s Canadian 99 cent movie rentals from iTunes are:

• Blood and Chocolate (also available in HD on AppleTV for $1.99)
• Kings of New York (also available in HD on Apple TV for $1.99)
• 20,000 Leagues under the Sea

I noticed that the Canadian iTunes store is promoting a collection of SciFi short films on the store. Looks very interesting if SciFi is your thing. I haven’t watched any of them yet but more than a few are intriguing. Check it out, let us know which ones you watched.
