It’s been about a year since we cooked up the original idea for Cinemira, but with a lot help and hard work, we are proud to announce the official beta version of Cinemira. You can request access to the private beta by filling out the contact form over at www.cinemira.com. We’re taking it slow, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t immediately receive your beta access. The first invites should go out later tonight.
What does it mean for Cinemira to be in beta? It means that we need users willing to jump in and test every aspect of Cinemira. This beta will not have a working Help section, so testers will be in the deep end with no water wings. With this initial round of beta testing we would like users to focus on the core functions of Cinemira, searching, adding and removing movies to your favorites stack, adding to and removing movies to your will call stack, receiving will call notifications, and watching for the daily movie updates to the database. If we did our jobs right, all of this functionality should be straight forward and easy to use with no help. If it isn’t then thats where your feedback comes in.
Rental titles are the focus of this initial phase of testing. All though the entire iTunes movie database is available when searching through movies in Cinemira, rental and purchase titles, you will notice that only rentals are tagged as such. Purchase titles have no identification yet. All rentals listed in Cinemira are linked directly to iTunes.
For more information about the beta head over to our special FAQ page. We’ll be constantly adding to the FAQ page as we receive feedback from our beta testers.
We just want to thank everyone in advance for your time and effort as we try to make Cinemira the best it can be. Now get to testn’!
