Update – It appears as though Apple has removed the movie from the iTunes Store
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is now available for purchase and download through the Apple TV and iTunes Store.
There is no rental date for this title.

The Canadian iTunes store is offering a selection of romance and romantic comedies for $4.99 on sale now and until St. Valentine’s day (which is February 14th, in case you forgot). There are 32 movies available, a notable one being the popular and critically-acclaimed Canadian movie “Young People F**ing”
Given that the rental price is $3.99 or $4.99 you’re better off buying them. Besides the movie you might want to include some flowers, chocolate, and or wine.

Rumors have resurfaced about a potential Apple-branded HDTV. Presumably a widescreen flatscreen TV with built-in AppleTV software. Apple’s partnership with LG could mean more than just small screens for the laptops and desktops. The same rumors are reinforcing the DVR functionality which Apple has recently filed patents for.
Jason Calacanis of Malhalo.com has been predicting this since last October. It does seem a strange possibility since TVs are such a competitive market but a few years ago no one would have predicted the iPhone and its success in a competitive market.
So, if Apple builds a TV, what will they call it? Apple TV is taken already….
