Apple TV Sales Up 3x Over Same Quarter Last Year
This is old news by now, but it looks like our little hobby that could will live to see another quarter at Apple. So what does this mean? It’s hard to say without actual numbers of units moved, but the fact that acting Chief Executive Tim Cook’s statement of continued future support must be a positive sign. I personally believe that we will be seeing an update to our 2.5 year old box soon. Of course I have no solid proof of this, just a gut feeling. Either way, expect Apple TV Junkie to be around for a few more Apple quarters.

Oh yeah, I thought it was particularly awesome that Engadget HD ran this poll today. Apparently there are a few people who do think the Apple TV is worth it.

Right on! There’s a LOT more potential for this. ATV will be around for awhile, Apple has to be making a killing off purchases. I know I’ve spent more than I should.

Although I share your enthusiasm, Apple has pretty much let it be known that they don’t make much margin on iTunes content…
