It looks like Apple went from being asleep for the last two weeks to jumping into overdrive with the updates. But, it looks like Apple may have jumped the gun a bit on announcing their next set of $.99 Rentals of the week. As of right now Apple has posted on their main iTunes Page a button depicting the next three movies. The movies are, or will be, Dr.Strangelove, West Side Story and The Lonely Guy. If you click on this button you are taken to the current set of movies. Traditionally these movies are updated every Tuesday, hence new movie Tuesday. In addition Apple is also running a banner stating that Pineapple Express is a New Movie Release, a title that isn’t to be released until Tuesday.
It could be that Apple intends to release the rentals and new purchase titles a day earlier, but for now we get a small sneak peek at what we will be getting on Tuesday the 6th.
