B) Handbrake is great, but if people want a good ripper before they encode or just to have a full backup, the 3 best ones I know are YadeX, MacTheRipper, and RipIt. RipIt is fairly new and it&#039;s not free, but it&#039;s also the only one I&#039;ve got that has never failed on a disc, even oddly encoded ones. If you use a ripper to rip the discs first, you can then set Handbrake to do several movies in a row overnight/while you&#039;re away, rather than doing them one at a time.
