Lucasfilm Brings Clone Wars To Apple TV And iTunes

Lucasfilm has returned as a studio to the iTunes Store bringing along the new animated cartoon Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now I know this isn’t an HD specific announcement, but the fact that Lucasfilm has come back to the iTunes Store as a studio could hopefully pave the way for feature films falling under Lucasfillm, such as the Indiana Jones films and Star Wars films.

    Hey, great!

Now how about getting the six Star Wars movies that I actually wouldn’t mind renting?

    Same here.

I think the itunes store lacks actual, brand new content. It would be great if you could rent more recent films.

Warner Home Video is handling distribution of The Clone Wars for the Blue Ray release, not Lucasfilm. It is also being shown on Cartoon Network and TNT, both channels owned by Time Warner. This is probably why it’s on iTunes.
