Update – We are aware of the issue with our .mov file not playing in Apple TV, and we are trying to resolve this as soon as possible. Ah, the HD video podcast learning curve.
It took us a few months to get back to the podcast, but we think we have it where we want it. With the return of our ATVJ Podcast you get a bit of an reintroduction and an idea of where we want to take it. Two of the biggest changes to the podcast are, one, it’s now a video podcast, and two, it will come to you in HD. Why else do a podcast about the Apple TV if it’s not in HD right? Now, we aren’t exactly Revision3 around here, so please be patient with “our” version of HD. We hope to improve the quality over time.
As a matter of fact, this first reintroduction episode is only in HD, unless you view the embedded Vimeo video below, all though we plan to add links to download alternate versions in the near future. We are hoping it works its way to iTunes soon. So please, take it for a spin, and we hope that you all come back for future episodes.
iTunes SD Rentals New Release and Removals for 9-30-08.
62 Rentals have been removed from iTunes today. A bunch of them were decent titles like I Am Legend, Tombstone and a few of Pirates of the Caribbean movies. As for New SD Releases, we have 6 new titles. And a couple of them made a comeback from yesterday’s Removal list like 3000 Miles to Graceland and Sideways.

The Unofficial Apple Weblog is reporting that the mysterious Apple TV/Brick related announcement, which they originally reported on over the weekend, has either been cancelled or delayed. They are reporting that a link distributed to webcast participants is, according to a tipster, no longer working. The plot thickens and the Apple TV lives to see another day.
FYI, when was the last time they had a webcast about any of their products?
Apple Movie Junkie, formerly Apple TV Junkie, is the official blog of Cinemira. We provide a helpful service for users of the iTunes Movie Store and the Apple TV. AMJ was born out of a surprising shortcoming on the Apple TV after noticing that there was no easy way to find a list of all new HD & SD rental titles released on a daily basis. AMJ fills that niche with a daily list of new movies.
