Okay people, we’re back with the Daily SD Rental Update! We had some issues with the list last week due to the release of iTunes 8. But fortunately, we’re back on track.

And as an added bonus, we’d like to introduce the NEW and improved SD Rental page! We hope that the new layout will make it easier to find that newest released rentals that you’re looking for. Of course as always, we’re open to any suggestions and comments that will help improve your browsing experience on our site.

The SD New Releases list is kind of long to display here in this post, so please step on over to the SD Rental page to view the latest additions.

Note: The HD Rental page will continue to look the same. We want to make sure the new system is working properly before implementing it to the whole site.

Hi All, Apple TV Junkie is looking to expand its team and bring on board a few good contributors. We know there is a lot of content out there to cover in the Digital Video Media world, relating to the Apple TV, and we would like to cover it.

First and foremost, this will not be a paying position at this time. We do are best to find ways to compensate our contributors in some way, but think of this as a labor of love.

If you feel you have something to contribute about the Apple TV, wether it be Apple TV Hacks, Apple TV Tips & Tricks, news on competitor products, be a apart of a future podcast or you just have a rant, we want you. As pointed out last week Real Networks now has a legal DVD copying solution. So where is Apple on iTunes DVD ripping? This would be a benefit to the consumer and to Apple; because, they [Apple] could not only drive sales in the same why they do with music, you give the consumer an easy option with media they already own. I get the idea behind not doing it: they want to drive sales of the video store, but if the move to HD and digitally distributed media has shown one thing its people hate to double dip. It’s one thing to ask someone to pay $9.99 for music(a tape or an LP, you know records they made them) they have owned for years VS 9.99 to 14.99 for an SD download of a movie they most likely bought for less. Apple is obviously trying to get a lock on the video market with the AppleTV, iPods, and the video store. By adding in video ripping, much in the way they did with audio, you will drive sales of device and content. So come on Apple give us what we want, an easy and legal way to rip DVDs we already own to iTunes.
