Update 2 – Our list of available HD TV Shows has been updated. We are at 16 individual shows and a total of 24 seasons amongst them.
Update 1 – It looks like Apple is still adding NBC content to the system so the total number of shows may change. We will also update our iTunes Links as they become available.
As announced at Apple’s event this morning, HD TV Shows are now available in the iTunes Store. Select shows are now available from NBC, CBS, ABC and Showtime. For now it looks like 12 13 different shows in total with offerings from various seasons of those shows.
Apple’s website states that you can purchase select episodes of your favorite TV shows in high definition for just $2.99. Or get the whole season in HD with a Season Pass. And when you buy HD, iTunes doubles your viewing pleasure: You also get an iPod-ready version with a file size and resolution that’s ideal for smaller screens.
