[Engadget HD] Amazon introduced it’s online Video On Demand service for Mac and PC users. Amazon has teamed with TiVo and Sony to enable buying and watching Videos from the Amazon Video On Demand. You can also watch videos on a TV using an Xbox 360, Windows Media Center PC, or by connecting a computer to a TV. Amazon Video On Demand content is not available in HD.

[Gizmodo] To add a little more fuel to the iTunes 8 HD Content fire, Gizmodo is running with a theory that the iPhone currently has the power to play H.264 1080P video, and that Apple may give the yet to be announced iPod upgrades this ability as well. Why would you want to play HD content on your iPhone or iPod? Even they don’t have an answer for that, other then with the right adapters you could potential hook your device up to an HDTV and view the content way. If this is true what does this mean for Apple’s hobby, the Apple TV.

Below is the list of SD Rentals that have been added to iTunes as of 9-04-08.
The majority of today’s 11 New Releases seem to fall into the old Hollywood category. The one that caught my eye was, The Arrangement with Kirk Douglas and Faye Dunaway. Reviews for this movie are right down the middle… Not the best, but not the worst movie ever made. Either way, I think the craziness of the movie is interesting enough to watch.
