It’s update time!
Update 3 – The Unofficial Apple Weblog has a thorough walkthrough of the new 2.1 update with screenshots.
Update 2 – We’ll be consolidating and listing all of the additions to Apple TV later today. Needless to say this update packed a little more of a punch for Apple TV then most thought would happen.
Update 1 – It appears that with this MobileMe update Apple has also updated the My Photos area of Apple TV. By selecting an album under My Photos you now get a list of thumbnails, similar to what you might see in iPhoto. Can anyone else confirm this as a new feature?
Well the day is here, and Apple is making sure that all parts are in place for the iPhone 3g. So what does that mean UPDATES!!! Engadget is reporting iTunes 7.7 in now available. iLounge has info on the Apple TV update that gives support for MobleMe, and remote function from your iPod touch or iPhone. iLounge also has a little blurb about the remote app. So go and update to your hearts content.

I also noticed this morning that the podcasts that I subscribed to on my AppleTV were being pushed back to my iTunes on my laptop.

There’s now thumbnails in the music album list. That wasn’t there before, was it?

There are new playlist icons that match iTunes and a new icon for radio stations that you put in your playlist as well.
Under settings, there is a new Apple Remote picture that includes Apple remote and iPhone
The organization of trailers make more sense now.
The add a movie rental to a wishlist is the best part of the update I’ve seen so far.

Anyone tried to see if music videos will play in a playlist and not have to be manually selected (hate being at work…)

is anyone else not getting the update on their ATV? I get an error stating that it can’t check for updates.

I updated to 2.1 and ITunes 7.7. It now appears as though my Apple TV is only showing synced content (regardless of the setting of the checkbox in ITunes). I have further troubleshooting to do on this. Any suggestions?
