New Poll – Are You A Pre 2.0 or Post 2.0 Apple TV User

First off, let me thank everyone who participated in our last poll. Based on the poll it looks like Netflix is the Apple TV alternative of choice for our site visitors.

With our new poll we want to find out if our site visitors are Pre Apple TV 2.0 users or Post Apple TV 2.0 users. Were you in it from the beginning ? Did you see the potential in the Apple TV at the start? Or did you jump on the Apple TV once the 2.0 upgrade was announced? Let us know.

I have been with TV from day one….
It has done everything that I wanted it to.
Sure there a few feature requests that I have but I still love it.

I am, and always have been, an early adopter of technology. Thus, I’ve had my tv almost from the moment they became available.

I bought mine not to long after they were released. Probably about 3 months after they came out so I still consider my self an early adopter.

I bought mine when 2.0 was announced at Macworld.

I bought mine before Take 2 was announced. It did what I originally wanted it for from day 1 so the Take 2 upgrade was a bonus for me. Of course, knowing Apple you knew that they would do something to make it even better down the road. I was just thankful that it did not require a hardware upgrade!

pre 2.0 — as soon as i saw a device was going to be released that allowed me to easily stream my itunes library which is a couple of terabytes i put my order in as soon as they were taking them and was pleased with the product. As far as Im concerned all the additions that have been free for people who have had devices since day one are the best suprises.

I have been an early adopter of tech, and usually pay the price. After the Direct TV HR 20 and it’s disaster and then ATV, which I bought the day it came out, I’m changing my tune.

I purchased ATV for the streaming capability – and had a lot of stability issues, primarily due to an unstable wireless home network. Now that’s fixed, for the most part, and I stream all my music through the ATV, which I really like. Adding the ability to rent movies was a bonus, the potential of which I’m very excited about, although I’m underwhelmed with the delivery of the service so far. Mostly with the lack of depth of independent, foreign and documentary films.

Hopefully that will improve. Overall, I love my ATV.

I purchased my ATV after 2.0 for movie rentals and streaming. If I one issue I wish Apple would open the OS to plug in or at least allow for an external ubs drives. I know I could hack the unit but I better thing to do with my life.

I was waiting to WWDC to see if Jobs was going to announce any refreshes. He didn’t, so I blew my tax rebate check right after the Stevenote. I like it so far.

I bought in at the beginning. I was one of those who purchased right after it was announced, waited for it to be shipped, and waited someone because Apple kept pushing the date back. Thought it was going to replace my MCE, it kinda did. I am still waiting to use it as a DVR. I want only one box in my living room, and I want that one box to be an Apple!
