Apple Movie Junkie

For the week of 5-13-08 the Usual Suspects is the $.99 movie of the week.

It looks like the predictions were true, the iTunes Store is now offering HBO content. Six HBO series are available, Sex and the City, The Wire, Rome, Deadwood, The Sopranos and Flight of the Conchords. It looks like the pricing ranges from for $1.99 for Sex and the City, The Wire and Flight of the Conchords to $2.99 for episodes of Rome, Deadwood and The Sopranos.

Well, we are getting to the point where we should start to see Apple release some of it’s digital video purchase only titles to rent, such as There Will Be Blood and Walk Hard. As of now, those titles are past the 30 day waiting period. We’ll see how long Apple holds on to to those titles being purchase only. Personally, what I am really interested in, is to see if Apple is given the opportunity to sell or rent the Indiana Jones trilogy which is released on DVD tomorrow. Below is a list of yet to be released rental titles, most of which are past the 30 day rental mark, and a few DVD titles set to be released on the 13th.
