Ars Techinca Reports That iTunes Finally Reaches 1,000 Movie Mark

It took them squeezing every once out of the definition “Movie”, but Ars Techinca is reporting that Apple has finally done it and reached the 1,000 mark. Wow. At this point, a few months late, is it really a mark to even bother following anymore? Call me when they hit the 1,000 HD movie mark and hopefully they won’t be doing that with a load of HD “Short Films”. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, give me quality Apple, not quantity.

The Week Ahead In New Rental Titles

Listed below are a few titles we might expect to be released as rentals this week. Seeing that The Kite Runner was just released for rental, and it was a March 25th DVD title, I would expect to see the rest of some or the March titles released this week.

On a side note, Spiderman 3 made a return to Apple TV, but this time as a purchase only title. Who’s taking bets on when we’ll see 300 return as a purchase only title.

March Titles
Bee Movie (3-11-08)
Love in the time of Cholera (3-18-08)
The Mist (3-25-08)

Possible April Titles
Sweeney Todd (4-1-08)

Lions For Lambs (4-8-08)
